Last weekend, the Husband and I spent a day at the Dallas Arboretum and enjoyed the magnificence of their garden artistry and floral colors. We’d been waiting for the temperature to cool down a bit and fortunately, Dallas had gorgeous weather this past Sunday. It was such a good day to have a good day. Perfect for the outdoors! (With an overcast sky, it was great for taking pictures too!)
We’ve been living in Dallas for over two years now but never got around to visiting the arboretum. You know how we often take for granted what our own city has to offer. But trust me, it is great fun being a tourist in your own city. By the way, the Dallas Arboretum has an August special going on where the entrance to the park is just $2! All the more reason not to miss it right? Get there now if you haven’t been already!
The Dallas Arboretum also makes for a great spot for wedding, engagement, bridal, baby announcement photo shoots. Check out pictures from our day at the arboretum.
I loved the sweet scents on every walkway.
Or perhaps, you could rest on a bench with Shakespeare.
The arboretum is divided into various different parts, my favorite being…
and the Poetry Garden…such a beautiful spot.
Beautiful water features and the sound of waterfalls scattered throughout the arboretum make you forget that you’re still in the city.
This green spot in Dallas’ concrete jungle is truly one of our Texas gems. With 66 acres of gardens and misting water features scattered throughout, the Dallas Arboretum is the coolest place to be in August!
